Outside of the elusive Grana, the Eterna is concidered the next hardest example to find. Today, as with the Grana, the Eterna is one of the 'Dirty Dozen' often missing from collections.
British Army 'WWW' service watch by the Swiss manufacturer, Eterna. The watch one of the so-called, 'Dirty Dozen' of contracted manufacturers.
The watch with a high quality stainless steel case, and typical contract screw case-back. The black dial with the Eterna designation, and broad, War Department arrow. The dial with 1-12 hour digits, plus 60-second scale with luminous hour marks. Subsidiary seconds dial at 18.00 hrs. So-called pencil hands (seen on most correct WWW Eternas) The reverse bearing the screw case-back with markings, War Department arrow, 'WWW P 4058,' and serial number. The same details to the inside caseback. Good quality, 15-jewel movement with the Eterna designation to the main bridge. The balance with screw-in weights.
Condition report: Just light use to the case. Pexi-glass clear and free from adverse scratching. Dial clean and original. Hands in excellent condition. Case-back clean and free from any adverse scratches or damage. The anti-magnetic plate intact. Movement clean and functioning. Recently serviced and sold with six month warranty. The overall condition of this watch is breathtaking, and it comes close to being new old stock condition.
