 Museum-Quality Highlights

We have recently been asked to dispose of a significant collection of awards and decorations. Although not large, the collection includes several important museum quality pieces. September Highlights includes two rare and desireable pieces from this collection; the Field-Issue Knights Cross to Generalleutnant Karl Mauss and  Anti-Partisan Badge in Silver, cased first-issue by C.E. Juncker.  Equally rare and desireable, our third  Highlight is an Allgemeine-SS vehicle pennant with  finial and weatherproof sleeve.

The field issue 'up-grade' Knights Cross conferred to  Generalleutnant Karl Mauss is a scarce 'Übergrosse' example. The award was conferred in the field during 1941, with Mauss fighting close to Moskow; at the time he held the rank of Oberleutnant.

The Knights Cross was one of several historic pieces from the Mauss Archive which was sold in the early 1990s. The Knights Cross is for sale with various documents.

Believed to be just one- of two- cased pieces known to date, the Anti-Partisan badge in Silver is a rare, first- issue award made by C. E. Juncker. This desireable, museum-quality award, for sale with its original presentation case, readily justifys a position on our Highlights Page.

A must-have piece for both car- and militaria collectors, the Allgemeine-SS vehicle pennant ticks all the right boxes; in addition to its desireable finial and protective sleeve, the pennant features in the publication, Inside The Allgemeine-SS 1923-1945.
